Physiotherapist and rehabilitación
A physiotherapist is a health professional expert in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of injuries, especially traumatic injuries, by physical means, such as heat, cold or ultrasound, or by exercises, massages or mechanical means.
You can find your physiotherapist or preferential clinic by accessing the Healthcare Provider List, and filtering by specialism (physiotherapy). If you are an insured party of Adeslas, you can request an appointment directly with your selected physiotherapist or with your nearest centre.
With your Adeslas Health insurance policy, you will have this specialism (subject to a prescription from a doctor on the insurer’s Healthcare Provider List) required for your health and well-being, and which includes:
- Rehabilitation and physiotherapy of the locomotor system.
- Pelvic floor rehabilitation.
- Heart rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation and physiotherapy treatments are excluded when:
- They have obtained functional recovery.
- They become maintenance therapy, such as neuropsychological rehabilitation or cognitive stimulation.
Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy coverage under the Expense Refund system
Through this coverage (consult the refund limits and percentages indicated in the general terms and conditions of the insurance policy), the insurer guarantees the refund of the healthcare expenses borne by the insured party on receiving any of the following healthcare services in Spain, from doctors or healthcare professionals not included on the insurer’s Healthcare Service Provider Lists:
Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy includes:
- Outpatient appointments.
- Performance of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures at the surgery.
- Performance of the following sessions on an outpatient basis by qualified professional physiotherapists:
- Physiotherapy of the locomotor system.
- Physiotherapy for the rehabilitation of the pelvic floor.
Rehabilitation and physiotherapy treatments are excluded when:
