If it is it your first health insurance policy and you are not clear how the service works, do not worry, we will guide you in your first steps with us. We recall a series of points to take into account.
REGISTER IN YOUR DIGITAL SERVICES
To take advantage of your digital services and to be able to conduct the main dealings of your insurance policy wherever you are, register in your Customer Area or download the Adeslas Salud y Bienestar App.
DO YOU NEED TO GO TO THE DOCTOR?
You can choose any specialist or centre on the Healthcare Provider List of your Adeslas insurance policy. To consult the professionals and centres included on your Healthcare Provider List click here.
Call or request an appointment online, attend your appointment and remember to take your Adeslas health card with you or access your digital card from your Adeslas Salud y Bienestar App.
YOUR ADESLAS HEALTH CARD
Remember to take it with you if you are going to use any of the services included in your insurance policy and that with the Adeslas Salud y Bienestar App you always have your digital card with you in your mobile telephone. When you attend a visit or have a diagnostic test, we will ask for your card and your National ID Card to be able to identify you as an insured party of Adeslas.
HOW DO I USE MY DIGITAL CARD?
- With your digital card it is no longer a problem if you forget to take your physical card to your medical appointments. Access your digital card from your Adeslas Salud y Bienestar App or through your Customer Area.
- You will see the option to Generate a code, and on clicking on it, a six-digit code will appear, which you must show to the professional attending to you at the medical centre. You will thereby be able to identify yourself and begin your appointment.
DO I HAVE TO PAY WHEN I GO TO THE DOCTOR?
The medical visits and tests have an associated cost. But you do not need to worry about paying them at that moment, rather only about taking your Adeslas card with you. Frequently, a statement will be placed in your Customer Area of the services used and the related payments will be taken from the account from which you have your insurance payments directly debited.
And remember that the first three annual medical treatments for each insured party are free! (Consult the conditions of your insurance policy).

The maximum annual limit that you must pay for copayments per insured party under 55 years and insurance annuity will be €260 per year. In the event of insurance periods under one year, this limit will be proportional. The maximum annual limit will not apply when the insured parties that use the healthcare services included in the policy are aged 55 or more.
From the renewal of the insurance policy, aside from the previous free benefit (first three copayments invoiced under €16), a 25% discount will be granted on the remaining copayments.
DO YOU NEED TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST?
If the test has been prescribed by a professional on the Adeslas Healthcare Provider List, you can request the performance of the test at any of the centres on the Healthcare Provider List that have this service available. If the professional has not yet prescribed the test, first you must make an appointment with them and then get the test done. Remember that certain tests require preliminary authorisation from Adeslas. You can request such authorisation from your Customer Area, or by calling us on 900 50 50 40.
CAN I ALREADY DO THE TEST I REQUIRE?
From the date on which your policy enters into force, you can do most of the tests envisaged in your insurance policy. But remember that for some of them (high technology diagnostic means such as CT-scans or magnetic resonances), you will have to wait three months. If you are not clear whether the test that you have to do is considered to be within this group, you can consult the policy conditions or contact us.
HOW CAN I REQUEST AN AUTHORISATION?
Some diagnostic tests require prior authorisation, which you can request from your Customer Area. You can attach a photo of the documentation, indicating at which email address you wish to receive the authorisation, and you will have a response in a maximum of 48 hours. Do you know that you have an annual check-up included?
Since our priority is prevention, your policy includes an annual medical check-up (at certain designated centres), which includes the explorations and tests that you need.
